Sheila Ujoodha is the Chief Executive Officer of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIOD), with 24 years of hands-on experience in internal audit, risk management, corporate governance and process improvement on both the local and international market. She was previously the Managing Director of SmarTree Consulting Ltd and Chief Risk & Audit Executive of Rogers and Cim Group.

Sheila holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting. She is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants as well as the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants. Under the aegis of the MIOD, she is presently the Chairperson of the Audit Committee Forum (ACF), the Directors Forum, the Women Directors Forum and the Company Secretary Circle. She holds non-executive directorships in various listed companies in Mauritius.

Appointed as Independent Director of Standard Bank (Mauritius) Limited in January 2023 and is the Chairperson of the Board Audit Committee and Board Risk Management Committee.
