Laurence Do Rego is a seasoned banker with over 30 years of professional experience, primarily with Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), the parent Company of the Ecobank Group. Laurence has held various key leadership roles within the Ecobank Group from Group Executive – Chief Regulatory and Compliance Officer to Group Executive – Commercial Bank. She also held several roles in finance such as Group Chief Financial Officer and Group Executive Director: Finance. She has transformed Ecobank’s commercial Banking performance and implemented a phased-approach 5-year roadmap.

Laurence Do Rego is also Independent Director on several Boards namely, Facage (Chairwoman of the Audit Committee), Baobab (Burkina), Baobab (Cote D’ivoire), KDB Fintech Limited, UK and UIAfrica, Belgium.

Appointed as Independent Director of Standard Bank (Mauritius) Limited in January 2025.
