Demola Sogunle is the former Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC. He has previously held several key positions within the Stanbic IBTC Group, including Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, and Head of Treasury, among other roles.

With over 35 years of extensive banking experience, Dr Sogunle has developed expertise in areas such as credit and marketing, project finance, global markets, risk management, and compliance. Before his appointment as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC in December 2015, he dedicated his efforts to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited from 2011 to 2015. His career also includes serving as the Group Head of Risk and Chief Compliance Officer at Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, as well as the position of Treasurer of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, which he held from February 2000 to November 2007.

Appointed as Non-executive Director of Standard Bank (Mauritius) Limited in February 2025.
