Standard Bank (Mauritius) Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Standard Bank Group, the largest bank in Africa in terms of assets. The Bank is present in Mauritius since 2001, and our two main pillars of business are Corporate and Investment Banking and Wealth and Investment.
The financial performance for 2015 was superior to results delivered in prior years and reflected a robust earnings growth, which translated into a profit of USD21million. Financial metrics were all enhanced with return on equity improving from 22% to 25% and cost to income ratio at 43%, whilst the asset base has declined by 62% in line with our strategy.
